They gave us a huge corner room. However, the fact that the room is huge adds little to the stay

Well, it is kind of old. Or old style. The escalator converted to a "normal" stair kind of shows you how the former 5 star hotel was. It is all very functional, but not like it was in the old days.

Cheap, clean & convenient.

Hotel has been around a while, it isn't the most modern but it is comfortable, convenient and quiet. Good selection of food for breakfast. I just wish the gym facilities were open earlier instead of 12pm.

Gym wasn't open, pool unusable.

Property is old but staff and cleanliness were quite good

We were allocated a "Deluxe Room" - wardrobe for hanging clothes had a door missing- interior light on all night effecting sleep- safe for valuables had no locking mechanism.

Checking out

Swimming pool was closed for a wedding when I arrived. I went to use it the next day but changed my mind when I seen it. I may have been persuaded to lay on one of the sun beds but the pool area gets no sun apart from early morning, breakfast was poor and the area where they were cooking the eggs was filthy, the whole hotel is run down and I wouldn’t stay there again unless I was desperate, there are better options in the town centre.

Central and nice stay, with a feeling of big and luxurious hotel.

Really nice breakfast restaurant. Poo, and spa facilities.

A little wear and tear some places due to age of the hotel, but no more than could be expected.

hard bed, I booked a van to go to the airport but they not wait for me , the appointment at 7 am, they go early. they not communicate to other staff. but another driver nice to me and drived me to the airport.

Comfortable, but hotel starting to get a run-down atmosphere.

For us it's a familiar hotel and location. The breakfast is a buffet and usually good quality. The rooms are spacious, elevators are arriving fast. Lobby looks nice. The price is reasonable, but there is more competition in Khonkaen with similar pricing.

We have stayed here various times over a period of 15 years. Part of the hotel starts to get a run-down feel and the amount of staff seems to decrease. Desk staff, luggage support, breakfast staff, all seem barely available or active. Although the rooms are complete, also the rooms show outdated materials, old TV's, old shower and bath-tub, etc. One important issue this time was the fact that we were in a room which was next to a water service pump or something, from there a lot of noise was coming into our room. It did not deprive us from any sleep, but it was annoying.

Very impressed. Would definitely stay here again.

Great swimming pool and fitness centre. Comfortable bed, ease of access to lifts. Staff were very good, especially room attendants and porters. Christmas decorations were wonderful. Great view of city.

Had to pay for bottled water. Room key didn’t work a few times. Outside of swimming pool needs refurbishment and is looking run down.

Housekeeping and front desk friendly. Decent location, although next to a decrepit, abandoned skyscraper that was rather creepy. Parking free and plentiful

Breakfast was disappointing. Hot should be hot. The eggs, hot dogs, ham and coffee weren't. Beds were on the stiff side.

Charoen Thani is great for location, comfort and friendly staff

The bed was so comfy, staff were so kind and polite. Jacuzzi was lovely great location in the centre. The breakfast was wonderful

The only thing was that the outdoor pool was in the shade due to the other skyscraper building blocking the sun. It blocks it for basically the whole day due to where the pool is

Great location

The hotel is a bit old but in a good location. Swimming pool is not really invited to swim in with birds playing around with the pool. I booked in few weeks in advance but when I got there and checked the rate, it was cheaper than the rate I booked from booking.com
